The Israeli newspaper Maariv reported yesterday evening that certain circles within the Likud Party, including those close to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, are currently formulating “retaliatory plans” against the Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir.
According to Ma’an, Maariv added that it is said that the partnership with Ben-Gvir is nearing its end. However, at this stage, these are still emergency plans.”
Meanwhile, the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation reported that Ben-Gvir has initiated discussions with the Israeli Minister of Finance, Bezalel Smotrich, attempting to persuade him to resign from the government.
The report further highlighted that Netanyahu held a meeting with Smotrich urging him to resist a call from Ben-Gvir to quit the government if it approves a ceasefire deal.
