Gaza has triumphed

The Zionist entity’s submission to Hamas’s conditions to end the war and Benjamin Netanyahu’s forced signing of a ceasefire agreement would not have happened had it not been for the legendary steadfastness of the resistance in the long war of attrition. The resistance has thus triumphed in Gaza over the Zionist enemy. We can say with full confidence that the Palestinians have triumphed in the two aggressive wars launched by the Zionist and US armies after the exceptional military victory in the form of the resistance’s Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on 7 October, 2023; a military and political victory by the resistance and the people of Gaza that is indisputable.

Yes, the resistance and the people have triumphed in Gaza despite the massive destruction caused by the enemy army in Gaza and the genocide it committed against the Palestinians for the past 15 months. Israel killed more than 40,000 civilians, most of whom were women, children and the elderly, and wounded more than 150,000. This is in addition to those under the rubble, the number of whom God only knows, while tens of thousands of Palestinians were displaced from their towns and villages.

Yes, Gaza won, even though 70 per cent of the Gaza Strip has been completely destroyed and is uninhabitable, as described by United Nations (UN) Secretary-General António Guterres. The Zionist enemy bombed schools, hospitals, Islamic and Christian places of worship, all governmental and non-governmental institutions and United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) relief centres, as well as destroying the infrastructure of the Strip. However, despite all these brutal massacres, the great suffering and the enormous sacrifices by the Palestinian people, they remained committed to their land. They did not leave it as the Zionist enemy had planned, nor did they flee to the Sinai Desert as the enemy hoped when it launched its fierce war on the Gaza Strip.

One of its undeclared goals was to displace hundreds of thousands of Palestinians to the Sinai Desert in Egypt as an alternative homeland. Thus, the goal of displacement failed, as did the second goal: to eliminate Hamas. Israel, knowingly or unknowingly, as the enemy does not learn from history or its experiences in previous wars, ignored that the resistance is an idea, and an idea never dies. As for the third goal, it was to free the hostages by force, which it did not; hence, it failed in achieving all its declared and undeclared goals of the vicious war it waged. In the past 15 months of its dirty war, all it achieved was inhumane genocide by killing innocents and the horrific and criminal comprehensive destruction of burning everything to the ground and destroying the Strip. It would be a crime to consider this a military or political victory or even an achievement for Netanyahu, despite the victims and suffering he caused, which was unmatched in history.

The fight for dignity: Reshaping Gaza’s post-war narrative

Indeed, the resistance was victorious militarily and politically, along with the people in the Strip, and those who reject or deny this victory are either conspirators, ignorant or possess a defeatist mentality. Some were offended that the resistance defeated the Zionist occupier: the Arab Zionists. As for the other defeatists, they cannot fathom the possibility of a military victory over an army that possesses a huge arsenal of the latest weapons supported militarily, logistically and materially by the US and the West.

There are also the ignorant who view the almost complete destruction of the Strip and the hundreds of thousands of martyrs and wonder in astonishment how we can consider this a victory, mocking all who consider it as such. Unfortunately, the number of these people on social media has increased.

Certainly, the agreement includes articles that go against everything Netanyahu proposed regarding the goals of the war, including what he previously called “the day after”, including what he expressed on 15 January, 2025. This was another failure for Netanyahu and Joe Biden, given what they sought from this aggressive war, exceeding the cruelty of all other cruelties, such as releasing hungry dogs to consume the bodies of the martyrs and the wounded.

This should not be recorded as a failure for Netanyahu alone but also for the West and the Arab Zionists who participated and supported him. It is a moral and humanitarian crime and a victory for the total Palestinian right to exist on the land of historical Palestine from the river to the sea. Yes, it is a victory for the resistance and the Palestinian people. May they rejoice, along with the free people of the world.
