The Palestinian medical students from Gaza finished their internship at Istanbul Medeniyet University and are now getting ready for their graduation ceremony.

Anadolu Agency reports that Palestinian medical students from Gaza Islamic University successfully completed their internship at Istanbul Medeniyet University’s Faculty of Medicine and are now in the process of preparing for their graduation.

The report describes the accomplishment as a significant milestone for students who have overcome major difficulties because of Gaza’s ongoing humanitarian crisis.

The internship program, operated through academic collaboration between both universities, gave these aspiring doctors advanced medical training together with state-of-the-art facilities and mentorship from leading Turkish medical professionals.

The critical situation in Gaza where medical facilities experience both essential supply shortages and infrastructure damage from continuous conflict made this opportunity essential for giving Palestinian medical students the necessary skills to help their communities.
