Cairo News has reported that Israel is blocking mobile homes and medical aid from entering the Gaza Strip. The channel’s correspondent at the Rafah crossing, Ramadan Al-Mutaani, said that the humanitarian crisis at the border is evolving rapidly, with a noticeable decline in the number of aid trucks entering Gaza compared with the early morning hours.
He added that around 250 trucks passed through the Kerem Shalom and Nitzana crossings, but Israeli forces turned back around 20 of them. These trucks carried mobile homes and medical equipment and supplies, which were denied entry into the enclave. He explained that this policy has been ongoing for days, with essential supplies being blocked despite the urgent need for them.
Al-Mutaani noted that the tenth group of wounded and ill individuals evacuated through the crossing included 52 patients along with several companions. This brings the total number of evacuees since the beginning of the operation to 408.
Some of the injured, he said, are still receiving first aid and medical assessments at the crossing before being transferred to hospitals in North Sinai, such as Sheikh Zuweid and Al-Arish Hospitals. Meanwhile, certain cases requiring quarantine have been isolated following standard medical procedures.
Al-Mutaani also reported that Israeli drones have been flying over eastern Rafah for hours. Moreover, gunfire was heard in areas near the crossing on the Palestinian side, although there is no confirmation of the source of the shooting.
