Israeli occupation forces have announced plans to completely demolish 12 homes and partially demolish 11 others in Jenin refugee camp in the northern occupied West Bank, as part of an ongoing military campaign that has already destroyed more than 700 homes since it began 312 days ago.

Hebrew media reported on Tuesday that the decision reflects an escalation in Israel’s systematic demolition policy in and around Jenin, aimed at increasing pressure on residents and forcing them from the area.

Since the start of the operation, more than 66 Palestinians from Jenin city, the camp, and nearby towns have been killed — including four shot dead by Palestinian Authority security forces.

Israeli forces previously displaced the entire population of Jenin refugee camp following a series of raids and incursions, after which the area was placed under a strict siege.

Amid the mass displacement, residents have voiced anger at the Palestinian Authority for failing to provide basic services or rental assistance to families whose homes were destroyed, accusing official institutions of neglecting their worsening humanitarian situation.
