Egyptian star Mohamed Salah has received major financial offers from clubs in the Saudi Pro League after confirming he will leave Liverpool FC at the end of the 2025–26 season, bringing a nine-year spell at the club to a close.
The decision comes just one year after he signed a new two-year contract worth £400,000 a week. Both sides agreed to terminate the deal by mutual consent, allowing him to leave on a free transfer.
Salah had previously been linked with a move to Al-Ittihad, which made a substantial bid for him in 2023, but Liverpool rejected the offer at the time.

According to media reports, and with backing from the Public Investment Fund, clubs including Al-Ittihad, Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal are preparing to offer a three-year contract. The deal could be worth up to £61.5 million per year, plus a signing bonus of around £26.5 million, taking the total package to roughly £210 million, tax-free.
Meanwhile, possible tensions between Al-Nassr and their star player Cristiano Ronaldo could give the club an edge in the race to sign Salah, should they decide to begin a new chapter.
Al-Ittihad is also keen to strengthen its squad with a new leader, particularly after Karim Benzema moved to Al-Hilal, and has the financial capacity to meet the Egyptian forward’s demands.
