Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Sunday that the Turkish army is going through its strongest period today.
Erdogan made the remarks in a speech at The National Defense University Military Academies Graduation and Flag Handover Ceremony is held at the Turkish Military Academy in Ankara.
He said the National Defence University is strengthening its standing globally year after year.
“We are, so to speak, competing with ourselves in the defence industry, where we have raised the rate of domestic production to more than 82 per cent,” he said.
Erdogan also said that over the past ten years, they had succeeded in purging the army and military colleges of members of the Gulen “terrorist organisation”.
