Nine Palestinians were injured Saturday in an Israeli drone strike in southern Gaza, a medical source said, in what it described as a new violation of the ongoing ceasefire agreement, Anadolu reports.

The source said the strike targeted a gathering of civilians near tents sheltering displaced people in the Al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis.

Several tents were damaged in the attack, witnesses said.

Separately, the Israeli army carried out artillery shelling east of the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, east of Gaza City and near the Jabalia refugee camp in the north. No information was yet available about casualties.

Israeli naval forces also opened fire on Palestinian fishing boats off the coast of Gaza City.

Since Israel launched its genocidal war on the Gaza Strip on Oct. 8, 2023, more than 73,800 Palestinians have been killed and over 174,700 injured. The offensive has also damaged or destroyed around 90% of the enclave’s infrastructure.
