Israeli border with Egypt the most dangerous

February 13, 2014 at 12:32 am

Israeli Defence Minister Moshe Yaalon stated on Thursday that the Israeli border with Egypt is Israel’s most dangerous border at the present time.

Israeli media reported Yaalon saying that the Israeli border with the Sinai Peninsula is the most dangerous threat against Israel right now, and “therefore, the Israeli government is demanding to use all facilities in the area.”

Yaalon added that: “Israel is earnestly following up the situations in Syria, Lebanon and Egypt. Israel is taking a neutral position and will not interfere in any country’s internal issues as long as they do not trespass our red lines.”

Commenting upon the alleged use of chemical weapons in Syria, Yaalon said: “It is not the first time for the Syrian regime to use these kinds of chemical weapons,” pointing out that the regime has used them before.

Yaalon affirmed that President Bashar Al-Assad’s regime is involved in a “permanent battle.” He expects that this war will continue even after the fall of the Al-Assad regime.
