PA denounces religious incitement to kill Palestinians

The Palestinian Authority’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has denounced a rabbinical ruling which incites people to kill Palestinians. In a press statement, the ministry said that it holds the Israeli government fully responsible for this “terrorist” ruling and called on Tel Aviv to stop sponsoring and supporting such acts.

The press release drew attention to and condemned the repeated attacks by Israeli forces and Jewish settlers on Muslim and Christian places of worship as well as Palestinians and their properties. The PA called on the international community, especially the Middle East Quartet of the UN, EU, US and Russia, to end its silence on the continuous crimes to which the Palestinians are subjected at the hands of Israelis, and take whatever action is necessary to protect the victims of Israeli terrorism.
