Ikrima Sabri: our people would consult no one when they rise up

February 27, 2014 at 11:46 am

The Mufti of Jerusalem, Ikrima Sabri, said that the occupation authority bears full responsibility for the current confrontations in Jerusalem city, confirming that the judaization policies, the threats to Al Aqsa Mosque and the unprecedented measures of preventing people from praying at the mosque have provoked the Palestinians.

Sabri added, “Our people consult no one when they rise up and they will seek the approval of no one in order to stop the Jews from controlling the Al Aqsa Mosque.”

Sabri said the occupation authority wants the settlers to do as they wish in the old city. He criticized the silence of the Arabs and Muslims, confirming that “the Arabs are in deep slumber.”

The Mufti called upon the upcoming Arab summit to take a strong stance towards the situation in Jerusalem. He demanded that they put aside their trivial bickering and focus on the important issues such as Al Aqsa Mosque. Sabri urged the Palestinians to go Al Aqsa Mosque and demonstrate their anger and expose the oppressive occupation.
