Israeli warplanes early yesterday morning (24/11), launched two air strikes on the Gaza Strip, leading to a number of injuries among Palestinian citizens.
Palestinian sources reported that the first raid targeted the tunnels area on the Egyptian-Palestinian borders at Rafah (to the south of the Gaza Strip), pointing out that F-16 warplanes fired a missile at the tunnels area, then followed it by another missile minutes later. This resulted in outbreak of a major fire in the area, which led to the spread of fear and panic among the residents living in the area.
The warplanes returned again and attacked a blacksmith’s workshop in the Zeitoun neighborhood south of Gaza City, which led to the workshop’s destruction with no injuries reported.
The Occupation Authorities have always justified their air strikes as a response to rockets fired from the Gaza Strip. It claimed that on Monday (23/11) a Palestinian rocket landed in the western Negev, causing no injuries or damage.
