The International Commission for the Popular Support of Gaza announced that it is providing $100,000 to support those affected by the recent cold front which has hit the Strip, the organisation’s president said.
Dr Essam Youssef urged all Arab and Islamic institutions, the international community and those who love the people of Palestine to support the homeless and displaced in Gaza in light of the escalating humanitarian crises.
In a statement issued on Friday, Youssef said thousands of displaced persons and those who have lost their homes as a result of the Israeli aggression are waiting for the world to stand with them and support them in their time of need.
He stressed the need to support the beleaguered Strip and the devastating result of the Israeli aggression and assault over the summer; adding that projects should be set up to help the poor and the unemployed the rates of which are very high, to increase their steadfastness.
Youssef went on to praise the steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, urged donors to continue to support them.
