Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood launches new board abroad

Exiled members of Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood today issued the founding statement of a new board to conduct its activities. The statement which was signed by its director, Dr Ahmed Abdel Rahman, revealed that the Brotherhood had within the framework of the overall revisions and restructuring of its institutions, elected a new board aboard “to be at the disposal of the Egyptian people’s revolution.”

The board affirmed that it will continue to pursue the goals of the 25 January Revolution – bread, freedom, social justice and human dignity.

The statement added that the board remained committed before the revolutionary Egyptian people to prosecute the coup both internally and internationally. It said that they were armed with deep faith in the right of the Egyptian people to gain their complete freedom, and were aware that victory of the revolution could “not to be achieved except by integration of revolutionary partners and their lining up in the face of its enemies.”

“Today we continue our revolution with a clear strategic vision, and profound revolutionary will and relentless determination as Egyptians after all. We neither retreat nor precede our people, but share their dreams and aspirations.”

The new board pledged to embark on a new phase of national action within and institutional framework “day and night” to achieve the goals of the revolution along with all revolutionary partners.
