Egypt’s State Committee is due to discuss revoking the citizenship of Egyptian Scholar Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi on 6 September after the case was transferred to it yesterday, Rassd.com reported.
Egyptian lawyer Samir Sabri filed a judicial case against the head of the Global Union for Muslim Scholars, who is based in Qatar, calling for his citizenship to be revoked.
He claimed that Al-Qaradawi made remarks against the Egyptian army and incited sedition in an interview with Al Jazeera.
