Egyptian Brotherhood rejects new terror ruling

The Muslim Brotherhood (MB) in Egypt yesterday rejected the new judicial ruling that enlisted it among terrorist groups and entities in the country, the Anadolu Agency reported.

On Sunday, an official Egyptian newspaper published details of a new judicial ruling, issued in April, stating that the group was mentioned in a list of terrorist entities and groups, in addition to 215 Egyptians accused of being members of the group.

MB spokesman Tal’at Fahmi said: “These oppressive decisions, which do not deserve the ink with which they are written, will not change anything on the ground.”

“Who are the terrorists; the peaceful MB who have refused to take up arms and insist on the peaceful resistance which has costed them so much?” he asked.

He stress that the authorities cannot prove the charges against his group.
