Yemeni Foreign Minister Abdelmalik Al-Mekhlafi pressed the international community to step up its support for the legitimate government of Yemen, in a speech to the German Council on Foreign Relations yesterday.
“We are grateful for the international community’s support for Yemen and the legitimate government, but we need more of course,” he stated.
He also emphasised the need to fight against the armed Houthi militia and to help combat arms smuggling.
This comes after the revelation that the largest weapons factory in Latin America has been smuggling weapons to a Houthi affiliated arms dealer in Yemen.
