Turkish Airlines, which for six years in a row has been branded as Europe’s best airline, has announced that there has been a 20-25 per cent increase in sales annually on its Kuwait route, Kuwait Times reported this morning.

Adem Ceylan, Turkish Airlines’ Vice President for Sales in the Middle East and Cyprus, was interviewed by Kuwait Times during the opening ceremony of their new office in Kuwait City and said: “We moved to this new office in Al-Dhow Tower as we needed a bigger place. In 2011, there were five flights weekly between Kuwait and Istanbul.”

“The number then went up to five flights daily. The Kuwait destination is growing faster than other destinations. This is why we need bigger offices and to be in the centre of the city.”

He informed reporters that there are now three flights daily between Kuwait and Turkey during winter, while in summer there are six flights on a daily basis.

In addition to opening a new office in Kuwait City, Turkish Airlines are planning to develop their services to appeal further to its growing Kuwaiti clientele.
