Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan today called for national mobilisation against all “terrorist groups”.
“Right here, I am calling on all my citizens: In my capacity as the head of the state according to the Article 104 of the Constitution, I declare national mobilisation against all terrorist organisations including PKK, DAESH, FETO, DHKP-C, and the likes, regardless of their names, methods or discourse. Whoever sees, hears, or learns anything related to these organisations’ acts or members, should immediately inform security forces,” Erdogan said during the 32nd Mukhtars Meeting.
“We cannot leave our security solely in the hands of the security forces. I am calling on all my citizens to help our security forces,” he added.
“The PKK’s losses in our domestic and foreign operations have reached 9,500. There have been 40,000 detentions and 10,500 arrests made in operations targeting their structures.”
The president urged security forces to take “harsh measures against terrorist organisations”.
