Saudi businessman says Trump is better because he is ‘candid’

The Chairman of the Saudi Chamber of Commerce has said that US President-elect Donald Trump is better than other candidates because he is frank and does not “sugar-coat” his policies.

In an interview with CNN on the sidelines of the World Islamic Banking Conference in Bahrain, businessman Saleh Kamel said that if Trump can reach the US presidency and maintain his earlier positions, he will be better than the others.

“If Trump is going to be hostile and all that he said in the beginning turns out to be true, at least it is good for us to know from the start,” said Kamel in response to a question on the Gulf Cooperation Council’s future relations with the Trump administration. “At least we know that he does not like us.”
