During his speech at the Future Generations forum in Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan urged the Emirati youth to “invest” in themselves and take entrepreneurial initiative, rather than focusing on obtaining government jobs.

“The challenge is to develop skills and gain as much knowledge as you possibly could, so you can catch up with all the changes that are happening”

He said, encouraging students to become more creative in their career choices and to “stop thinking of securing a job in a governmental entity”.

He reiterated that rapid technological and social changes within the global community meant there are a range of new skill sets Emirati youth could capitalise on.
