Sudanese official accuses Egyptian media of insulting Khartoum

The Assistant to the Sudanese President, Ibrahim Senoussi, has accused the Egyptian media of insulting Sudan and further damaging relations between the two countries.

In remarks to Quds Press, Senoussi said the Egyptian media does not contribute to clearing the atmosphere between Khartoum and Cairo, and does not help to heal the rift.

“The Egyptian media is insulting Sudan, and it must be silenced if there is a will to calm relations between Sudan and Egypt,” he added.

The senior official said the Sudanese-Egyptian relations will remain unstable unless a historic resolution for the Halayeb triangle is reached as well as Ethiopia’s Renaissance Dam.
