The Syrian Network for Human Rights has said that 12 people have been tortured to death in Syria by regime forces in March.
The network noted in a report published yesterday that the majority of the victims were from the governorate of Daraa.
The network has documented 26 cases of death by torture since the beginning of 2018 by the main parties to the conflict, including 24 deaths by the Syrian regime.

The network called on the UN Security Council and the United Nations to reiterate their demands to the Syrian regime to stop torture and to immediately demand the release of the remaining victims.
The network concluded its report by demanding that the UN Security Council refers the Syrian case to the International Criminal Court, holds all those involved accountable and calls on all parties to abide by international humanitarian law.
