Egypt is to receive 91 ancient artefact which were illegally smuggled from the country from Israel, the  New Khaleej reported a source in the Ministry of Antiquities saying yesterday.

Reporting the official Egyptian news agency, the website said that the Egyptians are currently completing the needed measures to regain the stolen artefact.

Shaban Abdul-Jawwad said that recovering artefacts from other countries is a difficult process because it is not a dispute between individuals but between countries which have different mutual agreements and deals.

There were calls for Egypt to prepare an official ceremony to welcome the stolen artefacts and to showcase them in the museum.
