The Syrian air forces and their allies on Wednesday raided a school in Syria’s south-western province of Daraa, the Anadolu Agency reported yesterday.

No one was hurt during the attack as schools have already began their summer holidays and the building was vacant.

For the last ten days, Daraa has been subject to intense aerial bombardments and ground attacks, with Syrian regime forces capturing the towns of Busra Al-Harir and Nahta.

The United Nations warned on Tuesday that a total of 750,000 lives are in danger in Daraa. Some 150,000 Syrians have already fled the city as a result of the unrest.

war-torn Daraa is part of the so-called “de-escalation zone” which was agreed by Turkey, Iran and Russia in May 2017, during the Astana however this has not stopped the regime strikes the city.
