Iranians across the country closed their shops yesterday in protest against the deteriorating economic situation, Felesteen.ps reported.
Pictures of shops with their doors closed in Tehran and other major cities spread on social media.
Mass protests spread in the country at the end of last year with Iranians demonstrating against what they described as “failed” economic and political policies.

There are calls for a general strike in protest against the sudden hike of money exchange and increasing unemployment rate.
The Iranian economy has been hit following the US’ unilateral withdrawal from the 2015 nuclear deal and the imposition of sanctions on Tehran. America has said more sanctions will come in to place next month.
