Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh said yesterday evening that the Palestinian resistance is defended itself and the Palestinian people from the Israeli aggression, a statement posted on Hamas’ website said.
“As usual, the Palestinian people protected the Palestinian resistance with much pride and patience,” Haniyeh said.
Apparently responding to the statement of the Israeli cabinet, which concluded a seven-hour meeting on the strike on the besieged Gaza Strip, he added: “We will return to the ceasefire understandings if the occupation ceases its aggression.”
