The Palestinian Authority (PA) has sentenced two Palestinians to 15 years hard labour after finding them guilty of selling land to Israeli Jews, the Times of Israel has reported.

“The court sentenced F.A.E. and A. Kh. M. from Kafr Thulth in the Qalqilya Governorate for the crime of leaking land to the enemy,” a memo on the PA High Judicial Council’s website said, not revealing the full names of those convicted. “The court…sentenced the convicts to 15 years of hard labour.”

Under Palestinian law it is illegal to sell land to Israeli Jews as it is seen as an effort to help in the annexation and expulsion of the Palestinians.
