Morocco prisoner dies after hunger strike

A Moroccan prisoner died of complications resulted hunger strike on Monday, the General Secretariat of Prison Administration said in a statement.

According to the statement, prisoner A. M. who was serving his sentence in a local prison near the city of Salé died in the specialty hospital in Rabat following a hunger strike.

The statement said the deceased, who was serving a seven year sentence on charges of extremism and terrorism, was transferred to the regional hospital on 14 November then to the speciality hospital in Rabat 24 hours later after his health deteriorated.
