Morocco granted $138.6m for drinking water

The loans are being granting to Morocco in support of its efforts to enhance the supply of its drinking water.

Morocco will be receiving $138.6 million from both the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the Chinese Africa Growing Together Fund (AGTF).

The loans are being granted to Morocco in support of its efforts to enhance the supply of its drinking water. Abderrahim El Hafidi, Director General of Morocco’s National Office for Electricity and Drinking Water (ONEE), penned the loan pacts in Rabat with AfDB representative in Morocco, Leila Mokadem.

The loans will be extending a hand to the country in its plan to connect raw water from a number of dams to treatment plans.
