Home made soups, decorates mugs and jewellery are amongst a number of items which are on display and up for sale in Gaza’s latest exhibition.

Launched under the name “Made with our hands”, the shopping exhibition saw women showcasing their art by applying henna tattoos on visitors, while others sold embroidered tapestries  they had made.

Locally made earrings and necklaces were also on displace, as were traditional outfits and olive wood which had Quranic calligraphy painted on to it.

The event is an effort to not only encourage local produce but also benefit Palestinians in Gaza who are experiencing an economic slump as a result of the 12-year-old Israeli siege on the enclave.
