A conversation with Associate Professor of Religion at Wofford College in South Carolina Dr Philip Dorroll where we discuss his recent book ‘Islamic Theology in the Turkish Republic‘ and other works.
Dr Dorroll received his PhD in Religion from Emory University in Atlanta. His publications have explored the history of modern Islamic theology in Turkish, classical Islamic systematic theology in Arabic, especially the Maturidi school; and Eastern Christian theology in Arabic. His current research and writing focus on the historical relationship between Orthodox Christianity and Sunni Islam.
