Ex-MK blames Biden for greenlighting Israel’s ‘ethnic cleansing’ in Gaza

Former Member of the Israeli Knesset, Sami Abou Shehadeh, has blamed US President Joe Biden and other state leaders for giving Israel a “green light for ethnic cleansing.”

“They [Israeli leaders] are led by this mentality of destruction and revenge,” he wrote in an article published by Al-Araby Al-Jadeed. “They have all the power to do so, and they have been doing this for the last four days.”

He added: “Israel is not killing the Hamas leadership; they are not getting revenge out of Hamas. There is collective punishment for 2.2 million people. They are spreading havoc and destruction everywhere.”

Abou Shehadeh continued: “Everyone is waiting for his turn: in Gaza, in the West Bank, the Palestinian Israelis who live in the lands occupied in 1948. Our lives are in danger because of all the extreme-right fascists.”

“Why do they have all of these rights, while the Palestinians don’t? If the issue is the double standards of the Western countries, why do we, Arabs and Palestinians, accept being treated this way?”
