Jordanian Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh has confirmed that the Jordanian military field hospital in the Gaza Strip will continue to provide services to the Palestinians.

Speaking at a cabinet session yesterday, Al-Khasawneh indicated that Jordanian King Abdullah II has been striving to formulate an international position leading to stopping the war on the Gaza Strip, with the necessity of facilitating the arrival of humanitarian aid to it.

Al-Khasawneh expressed his categorical rejection of any measures or steps that lead to the forced displacement of the Palestinian people, whether in Gaza, the West Bank, or any of the Palestinian cities and villages, adding that this is a red line that will push the entire region into a deeper and broader conflict.

He also stressed the need for the international community to deal with the war on the Gaza Strip according to specific standards and condemn the killing of Palestinians, just as it has condemned the death of Israelis.

“Silence is not an acceptable option regarding the war and systematic destruction to which our people in the Gaza Strip are exposed. This silence has consequences in stripping the people of Gaza of their human and legal right to protection. It also provides cover for flagrant Israeli violations of international law,” he added.
