Egyptians staged mass demonstrations to denounce the Israeli massacres and bombing of the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza in which nearly 500 Palesinians were killed.
Demonstrators raised Palestinian flags, burned the Israeli flag and performed absentee prayers for the souls of the Palestinian martyrs.
The demonstrations spread across several Egyptian governorates and universities. Dakahlia Governorate witnessed mass demonstrations in Umm Kulthum Square, chanting against Israel and burning the Israeli flag. They called on the international community to intervene immediately, to stop the brutal attack on the Palestinian people.
Students at Mansoura University in the Dakahlia Governorate organised a protest on campus to denounce Israeli crime. Students at Alexandria University also organised a vigil in front of the Humanities Complex, protesting against the Israeli bombing of the Baptist Hospital in the Gaza Strip.
Thousands of people from Sharkia Governorate also gathered in front of the Zagazig Culture Palace to organise a stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people to support the position of Egypt and President Al-Sisi on the Palestinian issue in general and on the current position regarding the crisis that broke out in the Gaza Strip on 7 October.
A number of Cairo University students also organised a solidarity stand yesterday at the Faculty of Agriculture, denouncing the Israeli bombing of the Baptist Hospital in the Gaza Strip. Participants raised banners rejecting Israel’s practices against civilians and children in Gaza.
