The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, said on Wednesday that the horrific massacres committed by the Israeli occupation army for the past year in Gaza will neither weaken the resolve and steadfastness of the people of occupied Palestine nor subdue their resistance.

Hamas added that the Israeli army’s indiscriminate bombing of civilian homes east of Khan Yunis, the Masqat School and the Al-Amal Centre for Orphans, which shelter displaced persons in Gaza City, killed around 80 people. The movement described the latest massacres as a continuation of the ongoing genocide committed by the Israeli occupation army that aims to kill the largest number of Palestinians.

“The Israeli occupation crimes will only increase our people’s determination to resist and continue to confront this fascist army and defeat its aggression, on the path to achieving our people’s legitimate rights of liberation and self-determination,” it said.

Hamas called for urgent action to “protect defenceless Palestinian civilians, curb the Zionist terror machine, and stop its fascist aggression against the peoples of the region, and its efforts to expand the circle of destruction.”
