UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric said that Secretary-General Antonio Guterres condemns the killing of a large number of civilians by the intensive Israeli attacks in the north of Gaza and is calling for the protection of civilians.

Dujarric explained in a press conference yesterday that the news coming from Gaza is “very disturbing” and that Guterres “calls on all parties to abide by international humanitarian law.”

Acting Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Joyce Msuya, said in a post on X: “There seems to be no end to the horrors that Palestinians in #Gaza are forced to endure.”

“Israeli forces struck tents near al Aqsa hospital, in an area where people from northern Gaza were told to relocate.”

“These atrocities must end, Civilians and civilian infrastructure must always be protected,” Msuya added.
