The Israeli army announced on Friday that it targeted a mobile Hezbollah missile platform in southern Lebanon, despite the ceasefire agreement between the two parties.
The army conveyed in a statement: “A short while ago, activity and movement of a mobile Hezbollah missile platform were detected in southern Lebanon (the area was not specified). The threat was foiled through an air strike by an Air Force aircraft.”
There has been no comment from Hezbollah on the matter as of 16:20 (GMT).
The Israeli army committed seven violations of the ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah on Friday, bringing the total number of violations since the agreement came into effect two days ago to 25, based on announcements by the official Lebanese National News Agency.

On Wednesday morning, a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah came into effect, ending an exchanged bombardment that began on 8 October, 2023, and then turned into a full-scale war in the last two months.
Among the most prominent provisions of the ceasefire agreement reached between Israel and Hezbollah, according to a document obtained by Anadolu Agency from the Lebanese Prime Minister’s Office, is Israel’s gradual withdrawal to the south of the Blue Line (dividing Lebanon and Israel) within 60 days. The agreement includes the deployment of the Lebanese army and security forces along the border, crossing points and the southern region.
The Lebanese army will be the only body allowed to carry weapons in southern Lebanon. In addition, unauthorised infrastructure and military sites will be dismantled, while unauthorised weapons will be confiscated. A committee will be established to supervise and assist in ensuring the implementation of these obligations.
The Israeli aggression on Lebanon resulted in 3,961 deaths and 16,520 injuries, including a large number of women and children. According to official Lebanese data, most victims and displaced persons were recorded after 23 September.
