Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono called for holding the Israeli occupation accountable for the genocidal crimes it is committing in Gaza.

During a press conference in the capital, Jakarta, Sugiono stressed the need to adhere to international law without double standards.

He stressed that Indonesia is determined to continue its commitment to supporting the Palestinian people and that: “Israel must be held responsible for its attacks on Palestine.”

The foreign minister added that thousands of Palestinians have lost their lives due to Israeli attacks, noting: “These numbers are not just statistics, as each number represents a human life.”

The Israeli occupation army, backed by the US and Europe, has continued its aggression on the Gaza Strip for 460 consecutive days. The attacks have killed and wounded over 156,000 Palestinians, most of them women and children. More than 11,000 are believed to be missing amid massive destruction and famine that killed dozens of children and elderly people in one of the worst humanitarian disasters in the world.
