Lebanon: No peace without a Palestinian state

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun affirmed last night that Lebanon will not relinquish its land occupied by Israel nor abandon its prisoners held in Israeli jails. His remarks came during the emergency Arab summit in Cairo, convened to address the latest developments in Gaza and formulate an Arab response to US President Donald Trump's proposal to permanently transfer the besieged Strip's Palestinian population. ‘The wars of others in Lebanon have taught me that the Arab dimension of the Palestinian cause requires us all to be strong, so that Palestine may be strong,’ Aoun stated.
