US State Department report: Israel violates Palestinian rights and discriminates against its Arab citizens

The annual report of the US State Department stated that Israel discriminates against Arabs, women, foreign nationals, and people with special needs.

The report, which covers the year 2012 and addresses the human rights situation around the world, did not put Israel in the section of violators of human rights. It noted that Israel's procedures in this area should be subjected to review and reconsideration since it is a country that aspires to Western standards regarding the rights of minorities, women and strangers.

The report particularly points to the existence of official and unofficial discrimination against Arabs, particularly in the field of education and equality in employment.
