February 5, 2014 at 10:10 am

An overwhelming majority of Al-Jazeera’s viewers has predicted that the roadmap adopted by the Egyptian army would fail.

The poll revealed that 91.4 per cent of those polled expressed no confidence in the roadmap, announced on July 3 by Egyptian Defence Minister Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi. They also predicted that the roadmap would fail.

The number of people who voted in the poll was 13,484. Only 8.2 per cent of them expressed confidence in the roadmap.

When Al-Sisi deposed the freely elected President Mohammed Morsi he quickly announced his roadmap for Egypt. Widespread detentions and bloodshed soon followed.
