Abu Dhabi ruler predicts MB to win elections, if held in UAE

WikiLeaks has leaked a confidential document dating back to 29/6/2006 which includes an admission by Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan affirming that if elections were held in the UAE, the Islamists would win.

During a lengthy meeting at an exclusive Emirati restaurant with former US Homeland Security Advisor to President George W. Bush and Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed; Sheikh Mohammad; the UAE Deputy supreme commander said "the victory of Palestinian Hamas in 2006 elections should be a lesson to the west which encourages us to establish democracy and hold free elections. We assure you that if there were a real election in Dubai tomorrow; the Muslim Brotherhood would win it. We do not want democracy that brings them to power. Certainly, we are at war with the Muslim Brotherhood and have a huge challenge to find a way to liquidate them forever so they never return. We're changing the paths developed by that group for us in the sixties."

According to the document, the US official ordered bin Zayed to conduct a "full investigation into the suspected Muslim Brotherhood members and to submit their findings to the US government". He warned that it is not that exiling them was not that simple.
