The Palestinian Prime Minister in Gaza called his Turkish counterpart on Friday to discuss the rising level of Israeli attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque and occupied Jerusalem. After congratulating Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the occasion of Eid-ul Adha, Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh briefed him about the intensive Israeli Judaisation programme in the Holy City.

According to a statement issued by the Palestinian government in Gaza, the prime ministers discussed Israel’s attempts to divide the courtyards of the Noble Sanctuary of Al-Aqsa into distinct Muslim and Jewish zones. Similar arrangements have been imposed by the occupation authorities on the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron.

The discussion also covered the ongoing siege of Gaza and regular Israeli incursions in West Bank cities, and the suffering of the Palestinians which results from Israel’s aggressive colonialist policies.
