February 14, 2014 at 9:13 am

Yemen’s Minister of Planning and International Cooperation has apologised to the Kuwaiti government and people over his country’s position on the Second Gulf War waged by former Iraqi president Saddam Hussein in 1990. Mohamed Al-Saadi acknowledged that Yemen’s support of Saddam was a wrong decision by the regime headed by President Ali Abdallah Saleh.

Al-Saadi revealed that the head of the Yemeni National Consensus government, Prime Minister Mohammed Salem, made a similar apology during his recent visit to Kuwait.
