Haniyeh: Erdogan's visit to Gaza indicates the end of American hegemony

Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh considered the determination of Turkey’s Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to visit Gaza as evidence of the expiration of American authority.

In a brief statement from Doha, a copy of which was received by the Palestinian Information Centre, Haniyeh said: “We welcome the visit of the Turkish Prime Minister and we appreciate this attitude, which shows the nobility of Turkey’s leadership and people, and shows its embrace of and support for the Palestinian cause.”

He stressed that the visit confirmed the time of American domination has ended.

The Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that he would not change anything regarding his plans to visit Gaza, despite the request of US Secretary of State John Kerry that it be postponed.
