Syria's Muslim Brotherhood criticises Washington's stance on 'chemical weapons'

The leader of the Muslim Brotherhood in Syria, Zuhair Salem, asserted that a number of domestic and international reports have reliably confirmed that the Syrian regime’s forces used chemical weapons against the Syrians rebels, in spite of the red line that American President Barack Obama has drawn.

In a statement on Thursday, Salem pointed out several pieces of evidence that prove the Syrian regime has used chemical weapons.

“A few months after the red line that President Obama drew for Bashar al-Assad,” Zuhair said, “Syrian accounts, confirmed by evidence, photos and documented in doctors’ and specialists’ reports, have emerged from Homs and Damascus.”

“These witnesses confirm that there are certain types of chemical weapons being used, which cause choking, dizziness, nausea, narrowing of the irises and the secretion of butter like substance from the mouth.”

“Yet Obama and the media have turned a blind eye to all of this. What can Syrians do about the killing, slaughtering and burning carried out, with impunity, by Bashar al-Assad and his gang, who have no regard for the law implemented by the international community?”
