UNICEF criticizes Israel's treatment of Palestinian children

According to the “Maarev” Newspaper website, the United Nations Children’s Funds (UNICEF) is scheduled today, Wednesday, to publish a strongly worded report on Israel’s treatment of Palestinian children.

The website noted that the report will include examples of Israeli soldiers’ treatment of Palestinian children such as leading them to court handcuffed, questioning them without the presence of a social worker and imposing terms of detention that are unsuitable to their age.

The website added, “Despite the cooperation of the Israelis with the organization during the preparation of the report, it will still be harsh and extremely critical.”
