Hamas official meets Russian Foreign Minister

The Deputy Chief of the Hamas Political Bureau, Mousa Abu Marzouq, met the Russian Foreign Minister in Cairo on Monday.

According to the Russian News Agency, Sergey Lavrov said that the Palestinian issue is still a priority and must not be ignored as new issues emerge as a result of the Arab Spring.

Although the Foreign Minister told Abu Marzouq that Hamas can play an important role in solving the Palestinian issue, he confirmed his belief that the Palestinians could do better if they are united.
