Livni warns of a "tsunami" engulfing Israel from the inside

February 17, 2014 at 11:15 pm

Israeli opposition leader Tzipi Livni has warned of the implications of the worsening internal crises in the Zionist state in a way that threatens its stability. Claiming that a “tsunami is threatening to overrun Israel from within”, ex-Foreign Minister Livni said that although the Festival of Hannukah is about light, “darkness dominates the state”. She was speaking during a panel discussion organised by her party, Kadima, to discuss the social exclusion of women in Israeli society.

Livni’s statement was reported in the Hebrew media on 22 December and forms part of a concerted attack on the government of Benjamin Netanyahu. She holds the government responsible for what she believes will be a “historical tragedy that will happen to the Jews as a result of the wrong policies followed by Netanyahu’s Government in both internal and external issues”.
